Trading platforms for serious traders

Since launching the first SaxoTrader platform in 1998, Saxo Bank has focused on providing clients with the most advanced trading tools available. Driven by a vision of making online trading easier and more accessible, the Bank’s in-house software engineers have developed a suite of trading platforms designed for today’s serious investors. The flagship SaxoTrader platform has been joined by web and mobile platforms that, together, give clients access to markets from anywhere in the world.

In addition to offering this trademark technology to private clients, Saxo Bank also customises and brands its platforms for a growing number of White Label clients, corporations and Introducing Brokers.

It’s all about IT

Advanced trading systems capable of executing more than 100,000 transactions per day are at the core of Saxo Bank’s IT infrastructure. In addition to client transactions, the systems update thousands of live prices every second, while also monitoring tens of thousands of open orders. To control this vast amount of daily data traffic from around the world Saxo Bank operates two data centres, both located in Denmark. The Bank has invested more than DKK 1.5 billion in IT over the last several years, and so as to ensure that its technology and software are always state-of-the-art, Saxo Bank employs over 300 IT specialists in Copenhagen, London and Delhi, India.

Investing in the future

Saxo Bank is proud of its investment in IT infrastructure, data management, product development and online distribution. The Bank’s success in attracting more private and institutional clients each year, as well as the multiple industry awards received for its online trading platforms, confirm that technology is one of Saxo Bank’s most important assets.
